Hornsey YMCA 10K and Children's Fun Run
A Charity Event in aid of Hornsey YMCA, supporting vulnerable young people in times of need.

The Hornsey YMCA Fun Run and Festival is one of the largest community events in North London, a diary must for many, with over 2,500 adults and children competing in the 10 races, and many thousands more enjoying the Festival of music and entertainment that runs alongside.
This year we are honoured that the Event will be one of a number of Community Games across the country, inspired by London 2012 and bringing the spirit of the Games into the community. It has been chosen because it reflects the values of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games, in being inclusive, cross-generational and inspirational to the local community.
As well as a fun day out for the whole family, this is a charity event in aid of Hornsey YMCA. Please help us reach our target of raising more than £20,000 to provide services that meet the needs of young people and families in our community. Races start and finish in PrioryPark, located off Middle Lane and Priory Road, Crouch End, London N8.
ADULT RACE: THE 10K WILL NOW START AT 9.30AM AND NOT 10AM AS PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED. THE RACE IS FULL AND CLOSED TO ENTRIES
Starts at 9.30am. A mainly flat two lap 10k route through residential streets and parkland around Crouch End and Alexandra Palace. Participants must be 16 years or over on race day.
CHILDREN’S RACES:
Races follow a 1 mile circuit completely contained within PrioryPark. Races are split by age group into under 6s, under 8s, under 10s, under 12s and under 16s. All races will be split into races for boys and girls (with the exception the under 16s race, with is mixed). Children must be 4 years or over on race day to enter.
The under 16s race is also suitable for children with mobility difficulties or for wheelchair users. Please contact Race Director, Hayley Ballard (hayley.ballard@ymcahornsey.org.uk) if you would like to enter your child in this way.
Children’s races begin at approximately 12.10pm at roughly 15 minute intervals.
All races are chiptimed and all competitors receive a quality t-shirt (and medal for the children).
